Personal Side: Music, the Brain, and the Art of Composition
Away from code and scientific literature, you will find me immersed in my home studio. I am an independent bassist, composer, and music producer.
On stage: the raw energy and rhythmic synchronization of live electric bass. The bass as a structural foundation: connecting harmony, groove, and emotion. To me, music is one of humanity's most extraordinary expressions of intelligence. From a neuropsychological standpoint, performing and composing music represents one of the most complex behaviors the human nervous system can execute. Playing the bass demands razor-sharp real-time coordination: the auditory cortex processes harmony and intervals, the motor cortex and cerebellum drive sub-millimeter fingerstyle precision, while executive functions and working memory anticipate timing, manage dynamics, and sustain the groove. It is brain plasticity at its purest and most dynamic.
There is also a profound symmetry between software engineering and musical composition. On the bass, I build the foundation — the essential bridge transforming the drum's rhythmic pulse into the melodic harmony that drives the song. Every sustained root note or calculated silence acts like a clean line of code: shaping space, creating tension, providing resolution, and ensuring the entire musical architecture remains cohesive and powerful.
